About Us
Pet Adoption Saves Lives
At Happy Whiskers Animal Coalition, our mission is to reduce pet homelessness and suffering through spay/neuter, TNR (trap-neuter-return), and education. As a no-kill, nonprofit, foster-based rescue based in Broward County, we are dedicated to empowering individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to make a difference—because we believe that anyone can help a pet in some way.Â
We prioritize support for our volunteers and community TNR advocates and do not accept owner surrenders to allow us to stay focused on sustainable solutions and long-term impact for our community.
Ways You Can Make a Difference for a Pet in Need Today

We can use all the help we can get. We have spots for trappers, social media managers, and everything in between. Email us for more information and we can find something for you. Our trappers get first priority on our waitlists. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.

Volunteer as a foster to help us take in more pets in need. Every foster that volunteers is at least 1 pet off our waiting list that we can take in. Even a bathroom is perfect for some. We supply ALL MEDICAL CARE, FOOD, & SUPPLIES.Â

Let’s work together to bring more pets home. Happy Whiskers is open to corporate sponsorships as well as fundraising event ideas. If you have a great idea, we want to hear it! Please reach out to info@happy-whiskers.org

Trap-Neuter-Return, also known as TNR, is shown to decrease the population of homeless cats, reduce violence among cats in colonies, and help community cats live happier, healthier lives.
We offer free trap rental services and assist with trapping community cats. Please complete a request form here.

The adoption fee often does not cover the costs for each pet alone, in many cases we end up in the negative. We rely entirely on donations to cover the gap.Â
Why TNR is Important for Stray Cats
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is crucial for managing the population of stray cats humanely and effectively. By using TNR, we can prevent the birth of more kittens, reduce the number of cats in shelters, and improve the overall health and well-being of community cat colonies. TNR also helps to stabilize these colonies, enabling them to live healthier lives without the constant stress of mating and territorial disputes. Remember, TNR is a collective effort that requires collaboration between individuals, communities, and organizations to make a positive impact on the lives of stray cats. By working together and advocating for TNR programs, we can create safer and healthier environments for both cats and humans alike.

We are always looking for Volunteers at Happy Whiskers.
